What to Expect

Whether you’re a lifelong church-goer or a first-timer, you will find a warm welcome at Trinity United Church of Christ. Our hope is that you will take the next step into this community. The information below will help you when you visit us.

Our church facility is easy to find, located in downtown Jasper, Indiana.   We have two main parking areas and street parking is also available. A layout of our facility can be found here, building layout.

Greeters will welcome you at the entrance to the sanctuary. They can help you navigate the building layout, answer questions and direct you to our welcome table. You are welcome to sit anywhere in the sanctuary; an usher will provide you with a worship bulletin. This program will list the order of the worship service. A sample of this program can be found here, worship bulletin.

Children of all ages are always welcome in worship. We believe children are young disciples and offer a special time for them in worship. Childcare is also available during worship, and the greeter can direct you to the childcare area.

Our one-hour service begins with calling us to worship, followed by a Bible lesson, the sermon and prayers. Past sermons from our Pastor are available on this website, Sermons.

We normally celebrate communion together on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to participate in the sharing of the juice and bread.

We are a diverse community; you can expect to see people dressed in everything from blue jeans to suits and ties. Please wear whatever makes you comfortable.

During each service, we pass a red Friendship Pad down each row in which those in attendance may write their names. This helps us get to know each other and greet each other by name. There is also an area for visitors to request more information or a visit from our pastor. While we invite everyone to sign the Friendship Pad, there is no obligation to do so.

We pray that everyone will find God’s hope and peace in their life.
