Church Family,

It is with great sadness that I inform you all that I will be resigning at the end of the 2016 school year (May 2016) as your Youth Ministry Leader. The past several years in which I have served the children and families of the church have been an experience filled with growth and love, one which I will cherish always! However, after much thought and prayer, I have decided to follow a new path and return to college.

Thank you to the entire church family for the love and support you’ve given to me and our youth ministry. I also want to give special thanks the families who have allowed me to be a part of their children’s lives. I feel I have learned as much or more from them than they have from me. Each of them own a piece of my heart and have become an important part of my life.

Grace and Peace, Andrea Hulsman

Our “Church Lady” Eloise, retires from the Office Administrator role she has served many years for Trinity. She has provided the stability our Church has needed through the year. She has guided many a Council Member, Pastor, Trinity Treehouse Teacher and pretty much anyone that is or was part of Trinity Church.

                        needed to have something done,

needed information or had a question,

                        needed assistance,

                        needed someone to listen,

                        or just needed a friend!

She has been the “rock” for many. We will miss you, in the office and in the Council meetings. Your contributions are too numerous to list. Thank you for including Trinity in your career as well as including all of us in your church family.

SUMMER FOOD BUDDIES….Outreach Ministry is embarking on a new mission this summer.

Currently school children who qualify for free or reduced priced lunches are being given enough non-perishable food items to feed them through the weekend. The food is packaged and sent home in their backpacks (Backpack Buddies) each Friday. A major concern is that these same kids will not have enough to eat during the summer months. We have arranged to have the food items donated, but will need YOU to help assemble the food bags.

 Council Highlights – October – 2015

Regretfully acknowledged Resignation of Andrea Hulsman, Youth Ministry Leader, to take effect at end of 2016 school year and celebrated her commitment to return to college.

On Sundays (September through May), Trinity UCC includes readings from a new lectionary source: The Narrative Lectionary.

Starting in September the readings will come from Genesis, and then progress through the Old Testament. Around Christmas the readings celebrate Jesus’ birth and then enter the New Testament. By the end of May we will have heard the entire story of Scripture in a more complete way than perhaps you’ve ever heard before. Our hope is to create a more scripturally fluent congregation!
